Our client is one of the biggest insurance carriers and are looking for an Executive Underwriter to join their team in Vancouver. If you are a seasoned underwriter looking for the next step in your career, please check out this role.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for maintaining a profitable book of business within the underwriting authority
- Involved in making sure that renewals, endorsements and cancellations are within guidelines and set standards.
- Maintain good relationships with brokers to ensure retention and growth of business.
- Ability to analyze new market trends, understand and implement company procedures, develops new opportunities for expansion.
- Mentoring of junior underwriters
- Providing support to managers and assisting in developing additional guidelines.
What we are looking for:
- Must have at least 10 years of commercial underwriting experience
- Experience in handling mid to large complex risks
- Great communication skills and good at building broker relationships
*Salary will be between 100,000 to 125,000
