About Us:
Our client is a small yet rapidly growing insurance brokerage with a team of 10-12 in based in Vancouver that is expanding across Canada. As they expand their operations into other provinces, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Personal Lines Manager to lead their personal lines team and contribute to their growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the Personal Lines team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Client Management: Oversee the servicing and retention of personal lines clients, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Sales and Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand personal lines business, particularly as we enter new markets in other provinces.
  • Underwriting Oversight: Supervise underwriting processes, ensuring policies are well-assessed and risks are appropriately managed.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their knowledge and professional development.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies across all provinces of operation.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, reducing errors and enhancing client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in personal lines insurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Experience managing a book of personal lines business is highly preferred.
  • Licensing: Must hold a valid insurance license in BC or AB; licenses in multiple provinces are an asset.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of personal lines products, underwriting guidelines, and risk management practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to success.
  • Sales Ability: Proven track record of growing personal lines business and achieving sales targets.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage the challenges associated with expanding into new markets.
