Commercial Lines Account Manager – Hybrid Work Arrangements

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide timely professional service at all times when responding to client inquiries
  • Service commercial accounts consisting of multiple coverages to include Professional Liability, Construction, Surety, Group Programs, Sports, Entertainment and Commercial Property
  • Manage electronic interfacing with various insurers, including applications for new business, endorsements and renewals
  • Prepare and deliver insurance certificates
  • Prepare proposals, market to insurers, calculate premiums, bind coverage and prepare documentation
  • Cross-sell and up-sell commercial insurance, assess risks
  • Maintain accurate up to date files
  • Monitor insurance claims activity and assist clients as needed
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate guidelines and mandates including proper rating/underwriting strategies, coverage and usage of insurance markets
  • Participate in various projects as needed


Key Qualifications / Attributes

  • A valid RIBO License and Insurance Designation ie CAIB, CRM, CIP
  • Min 5+ years experience in commercial lines sales and service
  • Experience in a variety of commercial accounts such as Construction, Surety, Sports, Entertainment, Commercial Property and Group Programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt calmly under pressure
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate professionally with cross functional teams
  • Always pay impeccable attention to detail, accuracy of documentation and deadlines
  • Outstanding communications skills including all newer forms such websites, LinkedIn, blogs, twitter, social media etc.
  • Ability to work with and fully utilize the Agency Manager System (TAM), Policy Works and Insurance company portals coupled with Outlook/Microsoft Applications
