Join us as the Vice President, Corporate Claims, where you’ll lead a multi-jurisdictional approach to auto, property, and injury claims for our growing national footprint. What You’ll Do

As the VP, Corporate Claims, you’ll:

  • Lead the development of a cohesive national claims framework, ensuring best practices are seamlessly integrated across multiple jurisdictions (ON, MB, SK, AB, BC).
  • Shape strategic corporate claims initiatives, aligning with SGI CANADA and Auto Fund mandates while meeting our shareholders’ goals and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—legal, Underwriting, and Regional Operations—to deliver innovation, improve profitability, and set new industry standards.

What You Bring (Technical & Leadership Competencies):

  • Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of strategic claim management, P&C insurance, and regulatory compliance, paired with strong financial acumen. You know how to leverage analytics and insights to optimize claim outcomes.
  • Leadership Skills: You’ve successfully guided large, geographically dispersed teams, navigating complex jurisdictions with ease. Your influence and stakeholder engagement skills drive impactful change, unify goals, and inspire excellence at every level.
  • Cultural Fit: Collaboration is second nature to you. You thrive in a matrixed environment, balancing the needs of SGI CANADA, the Auto Fund, and governmental stakeholders—always with the customer’s best interests at heart.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Leader: 15+ years in the insurance industry, with 10+ in progressively challenging leadership roles.
  • Strategic Vision: Hands-on experience creating and executing national claims strategies or multi-jurisdictional initiatives in property & casualty insurance.
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Comfortable applying financial insights and data to inform risk management and decision-making.
  • Change Champion: Track record of driving large-scale transformations and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: In Business, Mathematics & Applied Science, or a related field.
