We are looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for helping people to join our fast-paced Life Sales team at the RBC Insurance Advice Centre.  As a Financial Security Advisor, Advice Centre, you will proactively interact with clients over the phone, providing them with insurance advice and solutions based on their individual needs. Your ability to provide superior customer service, build rapport and gain the clients’ confidence will be critical to your success. You will contribute to an individual and team sales plan, successfully achieved through uncovering opportunities, providing solutions and referring to partners with the ultimate goal of deepening client relationships.

What will you do?

  • Take inbound as well as make proactive outbound calls to clients to identify potential Life and Health insurance opportunities, providing them with an exceptional client experience to meet their needs
  • Complete personalized needs assessments and reviews by leveraging tools, resources, and calculators to demonstrate value and support advice recommendations
  • Exhibit a consistent, positive client experience with every conversation and resolve client concerns at the first point of contact, demonstrating relationship building through meaningful discussions
  • Apply critical thinking during client interactions in order to identify and analyze risks and ensure clients are offered coverage that aligns to their needs
  • Use procedures effectively and seamlessly during calls
  • Contribute to team sales plan by achieving new business goals, right sell appropriate solutions, as well as proactively refer clients for other solutions

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Possession of a valid Insurance of persons license (LLQP) issued by the Quebec Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts within the hours of operation. The Life & Health Advice Centre is open Monday – Friday 8:00am – 8:00pm
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships and connect with clients.
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of services (i.e. laptops, smartphones, tablets etc.)

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of insurance products
  • Experience in a proactive sales environment
  • Post-secondary education
  • Customer service and/or sales experience in a contact centre environment
