The Opportunity:

The Group Benefits and Retirement Advisor is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who excels in relationship management and embodies an entrepreneurial spirit. The position focuses primarily (80%) on providing exceptional service to existing corporate clients and the remainder of your time will be dedicated to identifying and developing sales opportunities within their established book of business as well as your own network.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of corporate clients' group benefits and retirement needs, delivering sophisticated solutions that provide comprehensive coverage and long-term financial security.

Oversee the renewal process with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring timely communication and providing sophisticated analysis to support informed decision-making.

Lead the implementation process for new group benefit and retirement plans, orchestrating seamless transitions that establish immediate client confidence and trust.

Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with corporate clients through proactive engagement and exceptional service delivery, driving long-term retention.

Deliver responsive, high-touch support to clients, addressing plan adjustments and queries with urgency and expertise.

Maintain rigorous compliance with provincial regulations and organizational policies, upholding our commitment to professional excellence and integrity.

Design and deliver educational initiatives that empower clients to make informed decisions about their group benefits and retirement programs.

Track and analyze key performance indicators to ensure exceptional service delivery and achievement of business development objectives.

Build and maintain strategic professional networks within the Calgary business community, identifying opportunities for meaningful connections.

Pursue ongoing professional development and staying current with industry certifications to maintain leading-edge expertise in group benefits and retirement solutions.

Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, plan specifications, and transactions within our CRM system, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Identify and pursue strategic cross-selling group benefits opportunities within the existing client base while maintaining a service-first approach.

Monitor industry trends, product innovations, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for enhancing our client solutions.

Gather and analyze client feedback systematically to drive continuous improvement in service delivery and client satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring:

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in group benefits and retirement solutions with at least 2-3 years on the brokerage side of the business.

Valid life insurance license and relevant industry designations (GBA, RPA, or CEBS preferred).

Proven track record of building and nurturing long-term client relationships.

Strong entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated business development abilities.

Excellence in consultative selling and relationship-building.

Superior communication and presentation skills.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.

Strong technical proficiency with industry software and CRM systems.
