Company Background Echelon is a subsidiary of EGI Investments Inc. and an affiliate of the Co-operators Group, the largest Canadian owned insurance company in the country with assets in excess of $4.7 billion. Who is Echelon? The management and staff of Echelon are significant shareholders in EGI Investments Inc., a private Toronto based company formed in 2000 specifically to achieve our primary goal: To operate and grow the best specialty property and casualty insurer in Canada. Most of the management and key staff are well known and respected having previously been responsible for similar roles at Pafco Insurance Company (which was acquired by a large U.S. Insurance group in 1998).
