We are working with one of Canada’s leading insurance companies who, due to growth, is looking to hire Personal Lines Insurance Advisors to join their growing team. Looking for either OTL or RIBO licensed professionals to join a great company with potential for future advancements.
Title: Personal Lines Insurance Advisor
Location: Markham (Hybrid role, 3 days in the office)
Responsibilities:
- Understanding customer insurance needs and providing insurance solutions
- Quote and Sell Insurance Home and Auto policies
- Assist new customers with their Home and Auto insurance needs
- Service existing customers by updating their policies no meet their changing needs and provide new products as required
- Drive strong customer retention by providing a world class customer experience
- Underwrite new business, policy endorsements and renewals by obtaining all necessary information from the customer relevant to pricing and risk analysis
- Stay up to date on underwriting and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
- College Diploma or University Degree
- Sales and customer service experience (mandatory)
- OTL licensed or RIBO licensed (mandatory). If RIBO must be willing to convert to OTL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer focused and ability to match products to customers needs
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritize work
- Strong computer skills ability to learn new software applications
- Insurance sales/service underwriting experience an asset
- Actively working towards CIP or FCIP designation an asset
Must be able to work within the hours of 8am to 9pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturdays (37.50-hour work week). Will be required to work one Saturday per month
8-week training program will have a 9 to 5 schedule.
Compensation: Competitive salary, 4 weeks vacation, company bonus plan, paid benefits and pension plan.
