As Commercial Broker, you will be managing a portfolio of commercial accounts with a strong emphasis on business development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee commercial accounts, actively pursuing new business to achieve sales objectives.
  • Generate leads through networking, client referrals, and proactive outreach.
  • Assess member needs, provide expert insurance advice, prepare estimates, and secure commercial insurance for both new and existing clients.
  • Handle various commercial insurance lines including property, liability, auto, and specialized policies.
  • Conduct client meetings to build relationships, assess coverage requirements, and offer risk management insights.
  • Employ negotiation skills to craft tailored insurance solutions for complex risks.
  • Manage paperwork for policy updates, renewals, and claims processing with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate claims servicing and follow-up.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Valid Level II insurance broker license.
  • CAIB, CIP, or FCIP designations preferred.
  • Ideally 5 years’ experience in personal and commercial insurance sales and service.
  • Expertise in insurance products across multiple lines and familiarity with risk management strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proven track record in sales, service, and business development.
