As the Commercial Automobile Underwiting Specialist, you are there to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations aimed at enhancing profitability, competitiveness, and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with the Executive Office on:
- Strategic initiatives, including technological advancements
- Rate and product development
- Regulatory changes and reporting
- Company benchmarks
- Customer engagement

Conduct research and analysis of industry and company data to support assigned initiatives.

Lead the development and implementation of business changes.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation.

Provide technical assistance and training to ensure consistent implementation of changes.

Mentor and develop team members, facilitating knowledge sharing and best practices.

Perform risk analysis using technology and external data sources for quoting, negotiating, and authorizing risk acceptance.

Lead or participate in periodic work reviews for quality assurance.

Foster positive relationships with internal and external parties, including other regional offices and networking at industry events.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of seven years of experience in commercial automobile underwriting.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience.
- CIP designation preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly review information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement optimal solutions.
- Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to justify decisions.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information persuasively.
- Strong leadership abilities to positively influence and direct team members.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
