Looking for an experienced commercial insurance account executive with a commercial AMF licence to join a large award wining brokerage in the Greater Montreal area. The successful candidate will manage an assigned book of business consisting mostly of commercial automobile and transportation clients.
Title: Account Executive, Commercial Insurance
Location: Montreal - hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Sell and service P&C insurance to potential and current clients by preparing marketing and strategies for new business and renewals. Recommend new and additional coverages and obtain quotes for clients.
- Work primarily within the main client sector of the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with other units (including benefits and life insurance divisions) to develop and promote cross-market accounts, obtain new accounts, and identify opportunities within an account territory.
- Stay current on industry trends and their impact on clients to help solve market-specific problems.
- Create presentations and proposals, respond to requests for proposals, obtain competitive insurance quotes, revise proposals as needed, and close sales.
- Work closely with the customer service team to achieve assigned goals and renewal targets. Ensure all team members are aware of pending client issues, including claims, evolving needs, service plan implementation, and any other relevant matters.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurers by demonstrating judgment and discretion in entrusting client coverage.
- Participate in special assignments and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial brokerage experience (transportation preferred, not required)
- Fully bilingual, French and English
- Valid AMF License -- Commercial Property and Casualty
- Excellent team spirit and ability to adapt to and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
- Proven technical skills.
- Consulting, relationship, and management skills that foster long-lasting relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong computer skills, experience with EPIC is an asset
